hey,

does anyone know where to get a shift boot? it seems that what ever i buy wont fit because of that stock ring around the base of the boot. do i have to remove it and sew it into the new one?

Cut the retangular metal piece off, and you can buy any old boot and just put the fabric between the metal and plastic and clip the metal in. Thats what I did with a piece of suede. So now I have a suede boot I got for $5.

Also: I had a sew the boot to fit better - but its not hard.
