repair manuals, and i would honestly consider asking mike from topshelfracing.com (if he even does these anymore) to make you a harness.. it's worth the few bills he charges, and will save you a headache.

dont count on mike for free info cause it aint going to happen.

the wiring seems to be like some big secret around here for some reason. im trying to figure it all out myself too because my clip will be here very soon.

the way that i understand it is.... there is one main fuse box in the engine bay and one relay box. since you didint buy a clip, you will have to rewire them so that you can use the boxes you have with the 3s wiring harness.

then on the interrior you can either extend the harness by 33inches or drill a new hole. i have talked to some people that swear that extending is the way to go and some that say they want to change as little as they have to, to the 3s harness so they just drill a hole.

after you take care of that, you have to swap your ecu for the 3s one...youll notice that it has 3 plugs. 2of them plug right in....the 3rd one, you have to take your stock harness connector and rewire it into the 3s plug. that controls stuff like speedo, check engine litght etc.... you dont need to do this right away, because the car will run without it, but its something your going to want to figure out at some point.

take a look around on www.alltrac.net. they have the ecu pinouts for the st185. that will tell you what wire does what on the 3s ecu harness plug. i am currenty trying to find a diagram just like this for the 6th gen. the only one i have is the one that is in my 91 BGB, but im sure the 6th gen pinouts are not the same as that.
contact toyota and get a Engngine and Specification book. one for the year that your engine is from and one for the year that your car is from...they will help out a lot.

in the future i hope that we can all join forces and put together some type of data base on wiring for the swap.
