next year....do it like all the other sites....just have people submit pics to you, no voting, and you (maybe a FEW others) decide based on the quality of the pics, pic size, etc....no voting, and they usually turn out great.

Currently the test print is being rushed to me- but with christmas going on I'm not sure when it will arrive. Speaking of christmas, if my test print arrives too late, you guys would miss having it for christmas if thats what you need.

SO, if you need it ASAP, before xmas, you can order the calendar now.

However, if speed isn't a priority, hold off. Because I haven't recieved a test print yet. (So I can't guarantee the quality)

Everything SHOULD be fine- the colors all check out, everything is printer safe and bleed is good. However, you never know. The following things could still be an issue:

1) Where the pinhole is. I used other calendars I have made in the past to determine where the pinhole would be on ours, and moved text around accordingly, but you never know
2) Colors. All the colors should be fine- I did everything CYMK with a print prepped monitor. But you never know. Like above, I used other calendars to determine the gamut of color response these printers can do, and adjusted our own calendar accordingly.
3) Text errors. Everyone whose told me about errors in their name have been corrected- but someone might have missed something and I'll correct the error when they tell me.

Thank you for helping make this calendar a success, and keep taking pictures for the 06 calendar!

Calendars are $16.99

Go here to order:

(yes I know it shows December's pict as January- don't worry about it- it's wrong smile.gif

Right, I think if I do it again next year; there won't be a public vote

Why won't you put the 12 top voted pics, instead, next year ?

Too difficulty to put the poll's winners pics ?

IMHO, I can't see anything of bad in that, I think you'll involve more the 6GC guys and even sell more copies.

BTW, Consynx, we are not angry, it's only a calendar:
I understood that poll's winners were on it, but the fault was mine.

Bye.

And if they vote in 6 snow picts? or 12 Gt4s? Or someone votes for the same car 25 times? Or a single picture with 4 topless models gets in?

I know we're all upset about the november election, especially when certain counties in Ohio voted 600% of their population, but this was just meant to be an opinion poll.

I'm actually amazed at the amount of restraint thats going on- purchasing wise.

other forums would have bought the calendar as is instantly- people who are impatient and can't wait and really don't need it before xmas but want it NOW. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.. but it is smile.gif Congrats on the maturity level here.

As for having a vote.. I think if I did this again next year, I'd do a vote again too. Because, if I and a few others decided the calendar, we'd just get an equal number of complaints (if not more) on the same kind of things.

This way the 6gc community really did get to voice your opinion- and if you think I didn't listen; well. sorry. but 9/12 is a pretty good ratio smile.gif

That's probably because we're all broke from Christmas shopping and buying Celica parts. biggrin.gif

If I didn't have $8.34 in my bank account, I'd be ordering a couple today. wink.gif

Good for you. You're the reason I never linked high res images; but I wasn't aware I would have to ghost SAMPLE over the images I posted here.

not really sure why you would post that. its not like anyone is making a profit off the calender, its literally how much it costs to make a calender (plus comission for cafepress). certain people have put a lot of work into making the calender and you're comment really doesn't show much respect for their effort. next time maybe keep those thoughts to yourself rolleyes.gif
