Just curious as to whats out there for the toyota 1NZ-FE (1.5 vvt-i that powers echo's and the scion x's) in terms of aftermarket and what its performance potential is?

dont they have trd supercharger kits?? i think it gives them 200 hp. im pretty sure after reinforcing and tuning everything you could squeeze out 250. confused.gif

if u want to go ALL out, check out the 500 hp scion thread a couple of days ago.

The 1NZFE is the Japan version. I think we got the 5EFE in the US... Anyway... you gotta look at the bore/stroke along with other things to determine possible buildability. If you have a much bigger stroke than bore (oversquared) then chances are it's seeing about as much power as it ever will in n/a form. The good thing about being overquared... makes a very nice torque band under boost...
