Excuse me? All I said was that I was sad I didn't get to spend the day with my family. I don't give a **** about what you have to say what Christmas means to you if you are being an ass about it. I believe that it IS a celebration of the birth of Jesus, but its also a time for spending time with the ones you love. Not dealing with ass holes all day that don't give a crap about you nor your family. Presents are not a big deal to me, you obviously didn't notice that I didn't post anything in the Christmas presents thing because I don't care about the material aspects of it, I care about my friends and family being happy. So if I were you I would not be a Moses, right now. Your preaching to the wrong choir.

You guys are all ****ed up
Christmas is the celebrating the birth of jesus. And in years this holiday, this celebration has been exploited by the retail market etc.

Im sorry if you had a bad christmas but who cares.Maybe you should stop whining and complaining.

When i was a kid Christmas was the bomb...Now that I am an Adult its crappy. But who cares

I only got three gifts from every person in my family..Sometimes only one.

WHen the Wise man Came to see baby jesus they brought one gift each.total three gifts. I gave three gifts to everyone.Im not trying to preach cuz im not that type of person..But seriously..Think more before you open your dirty mouth.

Remember..What is christmas ?

What is easter? What is THANKSGIVING DAY ? etc

Dude, please leave the religous things out, this is a public site, and not everyone has to have that meaning for christmas (wile there is absolutly nothing rong with that meaning.) Everyone probibly has there own interpertation, or like my family, use it more for an exscuse to get to gether and exschange good feelings (or not so good feelings in some cases,) but alteast to show where there, Gifts are just a sign of feelings. and wile what they are does not matter, or even getting them does not matter, its all in showing that your willing to give something to make them a little happy, or make there lifes better.

Jesus wasn't born december 25th. Constantine adapted the pegan holiday held on the 25th to make the conversion of the Roman nation to Christianity less disruptive. But hey if you wanna believe the kid stories about 3 wise men that were written down a century after the so called event then thats your choice.

A religion built for the intent of being a political tool, then spread with blood shead and destruction. mmmmmmmm righteousness....

I know I like my religions drafted by tyrannical politicians rolleyes.gif

OH and Thanksgiving....thanking all the Christian immigrants that performed genecide on the endogenous peoples of North America. Its shameful how Americans and Canadians alike can turn a disgusting time in our history into a celibration.

You can't really look at it that way uppity. We celebrate the good things in life on those holidays, maybe they got the idea from those events but Christmas is a Christian holiday made to celebrate the life of Jesus. No where in the rules of Christmas does it say that Jesus was definitely born on December 25, just like you said it was a date that was chosen for celebration of His life. You sound like you are on border line paranoia with that stuff. It's okay to let people believe what they will...trust me wink.gif

funny I though thanksgiving was a celebration over the big feast that both sides shared when the native people accepted the new people onto there lands and into there homes, it was not till later we screewed them over and jacked there sh%t.

I always love watching those shows on the history channel about what the bibal really says when you translate it correnctly, and how most the miracals are not what they really are maid out to be in the current translation. kinda makes it show how gulable people can be some times.

(sorry if I affend anyone with that statment(s) just my opinion)

Ya I like those shows to! Watch em all the time.

Ya I know what Thanksgiving is supposed to be about, Canadian kids are fed all the stories just the same. But I doubt Native American families celibrate the holiday to any large extent wink.gif It would be like the Trojans celibrating the day the greeks gave them the Trojan Horse, or in our case the Greeks celibrating the day they delivered the horse.

Ya man its pretty crazy how you grow up believing these ideas of how glorious the founding of our countries were. I found starting highschool that they give you a much more real picture of how things really were rather then the fairy tales you here in grade school.

I lost my grandma and tried to find god/religion again but i couldnt. Thats just me! These holidays are nice and growing up yes it was all about hte presents but now i just wish i had the family part :-( but since my grandma died its nothing. it has no meaning. :-(
