i hope you used 3/4" MDF on your box... also deck screws are good, they go in nice and easy.... also dont forget to predrill(use a bit smaller than the screws ofcourse), dont forget the liquidnails or silicone to seal it up! remember... let the box dry before you put the sub(s) in... (i wait 8 hours or let it sit til the next day). and if its cold there keep the box in the garage or some place inside....

Ha Ha, you dont really have to use 3/4. I used 1/2 for both my amp rack and well my second sub box. and its fine. but then again its also coated in fiberglass.

3/4" is most ideal for Most subwoofer boxes. it will not flex, unless alot of pressure is put to it, as you said it also has fiberglass. and for an amp rack yeah 1/2" would be fine. or just about whatever that will hold it fine.

Yeah it does, all fiberglass is the way to go, any you used 1/2 thats gata be really heavy, I think my box waighs like 6-7 lbs total (empty), its worth the extra time and work.

but for a simple yet affective box, that will work just fiine, good luck, and Post pics.

i guess you guys are all about looks, if you want max performance from your subs fiberglass isnt the way to go. it will not with stand alot of power like MDF will. but i guess its up to yourself to decide what you want to use..

you dont have aenough cubic capacity in those boxes,if you dont listen to me,try porting them and stuffing the boxes with cotton wool[from insid a pillow] and turn the subs the other way,i made my install in my corsa from 3/4 mdf,but with you boxes being too small 1/2 will be ok but if you subs dont sound that great dont blame the amp, blame the boxes, try them ou before you paint/glass them,im makin my boxes and boot build too,i'll try and send pics of my corsa boot, its the best boot in town i tell thee

Thats not entirley true. It all depends on the sub your using. Some subs need a lot some need next to none.

Also if u used nails, they will at some point back them selves out. so I would say if you did replace them with screws that will hold.
