I dotn know how many of you look through CelicaTech.com, but i came upon this post there about a company called Shiftgate Performance who is producing a turbo kit for teh 5sfe.

http://www.celicatech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1365

includes:
-T3/T4B Hybrid (ballbearing also available)
-Oil pan Modification
-Custom tubular equal length turbo manifold
-Hard pipe intercooler piping
-Custom down pipe
-Map sensor
-360cc injectors and Fuel controller unit
-Fuel pressure regulator (Optional)
-Fuel lines and fittings (Optional)
-Spearco core intercooler
-HKS SSBOV blow off valve
-Intermediate piping
-Intake pipe and K&N filter or Apexi filter
-All Necessary Hardware and Fittings

looks to be around $2200-$2500 and they are looking for test cars now.

Im still a big advocate for the custom kit since it forces you to learn about your car and the details involved in forced induction. But for people on the other side, its nice to have options other than Burien and Ripp Mods.

This is being built for the 5sfe camry (and the 6th gen celica!) asking about the differences now..

Sounds like the celica is just an afterthought stuck on because it has a 5sfe engine too- like all the manifolds

from what i read on their forums, the one of the differences is the intercooler piping that they provide. Thats why they are looking for a 6th gen celi as well as a 3rd gen Camry to test on.

edit: this is the answer they gave you on the forums... not too informative, but he does say that the kits will be modified a bit for each type of vehicle.

"these groupings are just for test cars and for general info. they do not mean that the respective kits are exactly the same. we will cover all of these differences in testing. that is why we have test cars."
