I hate street racing Options

Real racers take it to the track but if ur going to race then atleast do it with no passengers in ur car! but i mean if ur the passenger and ur not comfortable and tehy wont stop then just grab the key from the ignition and turn it off! yeah they will be pissed but way better than ur life!

^ yeah I remeber that crash, was the day I drove home my first car (my 88 civic) actualy, I sat in traffic for an hour because if it, damn stupid kids, will never learn, even after they kill compleatly insocent bystandards.

I can't believe no one has questioned this being racing yet. The only place I seen racing was in the title of this. The kid was just going to fast, racing has nothing to do with it. I've been street racing since I was 16, I'm 21 now and I've never had a wreck and "only" have 3 tickets. I know that's kind of a lot, but I deserved them and I'm okay with it. I'm really sorry for what has happened, but making snap judgments like "stupid kid," or "street racer," are just ignorant. This guy could have been testing out his car, which we all do, and something went wrong. It's a risk we all unnecessarily take at times. The speed limit around here on the interstate is 70mph, and most travel 80mph. Now, if I were going 80, and I had a tie rod break, or a tire blow, I'd be pretty screwed. Then they would find my body, and call me another victim of street racing. And my car would be so mangled from the crash, who's to say if they're right or wrong? It's advantageous to say they were street racing to keep people from doing it, and make the roads safer, but it's not fair to the people involved to call them dumb. Because there's not much of a way, short of eyewitnesses, that you can prove he was racing. Even then, they can be biased and answer incorrectly.

^ makes a good point, eveyone seems to asume its a race when it could be just some kid driving fast, and I do no several "real" street racers and they go to pretty far langths to keep away from other drivers and non-involved people, not just to hide from cops. its the stupid wanabe Vin desiels out there that get them selves and insocent people killed, more so then the regulars, however even with exsperiance your taking a big risk at all racing on the street and that is whats stupid.

People know there own penalties when they race on the streets and elsewhere. You can get busted, accidented and so forth. IF your racing and driving recklessly than thats your own fault. If you crash into someone else than thats your own fault as well. You can't just say that you hate street racers. If you don't like them, then go complain to the president and what not untill they ban all cars from usage. Then thats the only way that there will be no more street racers.

Lets be relastic, street racing are for those who know how to enjoy a little piece of life and thrill. Those who complain about the noise or the accidents should just not drive at all since there so afraid of being killed in one, or by one.

Lisson, I have street raced, and I probably will again in the future, but I don't like your attitude twords it. People have a right to be safe. They have a right to drive on safe public roads at any time. They do not need to "say off them and not drive." Street racing is not cool, it's not hip, it's not going againts the rules and shaking up the system. For me, it's an addiction. I feel the need to go fast, and sometimes I feel the need when I'm not on the track. It's wrong, I know it's wrong, and I wish I never did it. Their are times and places for everything, and sometimes, street racing can have it's place, although it will never be fully safe. What if this guys girlfriends friend actually was killed in street racing? Don't you think your comments are a little insensitive? Have a heart.

don't streetrace with passengers it would be a stupid thing to do. I did used to race people but now there are too many cops around always these idiots with their slow SOHC cars trying to take me on I always kicked their arses lol.

I have 'googled' stephanie's name probably 100 times since the night she died, just to see what has been written about her, yet this is the first time I have come across this. I was a good friend to Stephanie, and there the night it happened in the car right next to her. I have spent years trying to get the images of her last moments out of my head... that night will forever linger in my mind and break my heart. And Brendon was racing... not just driving fast, he was racing the vehicle I was in. However, there is no need to hate anyone for what happened that night, we all regret what has happened and nothing we do will ever change that night.

Damn thats rough. Honestly, If i ever do anything stupid in my celica (speeding, weaving,racing etc) i will never do it when i have another person in the car. especially a girl. the last thing i need is to get into an accident and have to go to the persons parents and say its my fault your kid died. i was being stupid.
