Hey guys,
I was about to take apart my climate unit to convert it to red....i noticed by pooping off the dials that there was a green bulb inside...if its anything like the green bulb in my gauge cluster then it is a regular bulb with a green cover......does anyone know? I think it would be much easier just to take out this bulb instead of painting everything and removing everything......thanks for your help |

Hmm I don't know what member had it but somehow I stumbled across his car site and it had a guide to doing hte climate control. The led part listed all the needed equipment but again can't remember whos it was.

How come in the How To it does not even mention taking off the green 'condoms' over the 3 bulbs?
And arent all the buttons green because of the LED's behind them? so if I spray paint it Red (the buttons like the how to's show) wouldnt the green mixed with the red make some wiered color? ![]() This post has been edited by DaMnItLeWiS: Jan 22, 2005 - 10:59 AM -------------------- ![]() 95 Celica ST 95 Supra NA |

problem with painting htem is that they will be dimmer then stock. When I am done with the stero I am gonna buy another climate control (current one is somewhat scratched) and then fiddle with the old one to see if I can't solder on new leds.

Behind the buttons there are 3mm leds wich you can change into the colour you like.
The backlight is coming from small bulbs. The colour of those you can change by putting one of those "condom" things on them. |
