I finally found a product that works great to restore them. Mine used to be very hazy and looked bad, so I tried various products but nothing seemed to work.
Then yesterday I went to my local Schucks auto parts store and got some Meguiar's PlastX. It's a clear plastic cleaner and polish, and it works very well. I applied about a pea-sized amount to a wax applicator and rubbed it hard into the plastic on one half of the cover. Then I wiped it clean with a clean towel and did the other side, and now my gauge cluster is very, very clear and sharp inside the car. No more haziness at all. ![]() I figured I'd post since I know I've had a ton of people ask me if my gauge cluster cover from the parts car is in good shape because theirs is hazy.

How much was that bottle? Seems like an awfully large bottle for this single application. I wonder what else it'll work on.

It was $6 or something...I probably have enough of this stuff in the bottle to make every 6GC member's cluster clear again. ![]() It says it can be used on things like the back plastic windows in convertible tops, tail-lights, motorcycle windshields, etc. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Yes, it's the Yelli Celi. The gauges and climate control unit are back to stock green lighting. The red climate control unit modifications I did didn't make it look like stock-quality, so I went back to a factory setup so that the car looks more professional to potential buyers. Also, I love change.
![]() And the VVT light isn't on because the key is in the ignition on position when that pic was taken. If I'd had it in accessory(or if the engine was actually running and I hit VVT), it'd be on. ![]() -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I bought meguirs scratch X and it worked perfectly before a wax. I waxed after it, and my baby looked great for a couple months
then it rained, and for some reason all my scratches came back |
