 5S-FE valve adjustment, how long before its a good idea? |

I was thinking earlier today that my car is starting to make some excessive valve noise, and it got me thinking about how long the motor can go before it needs a valve adjustment... the past 15 thousand miles, in particular, ive noticed a sizeable decrease in performance, and was thinking mabey its because of this... either way im curious what the interval is for this service
