 It was making this horrible knocking sound under the hood so I had to have it towed. luckily i have road side assistance and i got the first 10 miles towed free. I was 9.7 miles away from my house too! :-) So now im out of my car for about a week so my dad can work on it. -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

wow u soo lucky..last time i rmemebr that my timein belt break out on me and i cant do anything just to call a tow truck...the next thing i know was then they pull it upward from the baack...my body front kit pop rite out and i hawv to get a new pair..u soo lucky..anyways..nice car u got there

idler baring tensions the cam shaft timing belt and its basically pulled over against the side of the thing - the baring is gone
it just sucks cuz my whole family is broke - i even had to let my parents borrow money. I hate when sh!t goes wrong with my car cuz it all happens at a bad time and it all happens at once -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

that sucks. The last time i got a car of mine towed was my bimmer.. Within two months i got it towed three times, and each cost around 100 bucks.. bent wheel, with no key for the lugs and bad spare. Bent brake clamp, and whne i wrecked it.
What service do you have. Cause my faimly has AAA but how often we get tows its not enough. |

600 bucks for labor and 266 for parts. luckily my dad can do the labor and the parts got cut down to 186. just feel bad that i dont have the money to have it done at a shop. my poor dad is old and he knows he has to get it done ASAP cuz we need a second car at the house to work incase anything happens to my mom

268 bucks is the damage. If my dad took it to a repair shop to get fixed it would cost 600 bucks in labor alone! luckily my dad can do the work! But were too broke :-( But we found a way around that. Were gonna get the parts today and they are gonna let us pay on the 24th when i get paid! Thank god for good relationships!

You just neeed a new timing belt, tensioner, and waterpump right? Thats why these things are supposed to be changed every 60k miles. Be glad you dont have a interference motor. Then you would be looking at thousands of dollars
 Toyota Timing belts, tensioner, and waterpumps are cheap

some other things along with it. the idler baring or something liek that wasnt changed when the timing belt was last changed *by previous owner*

im not complaining! just saying situation sucks that business is down for my dad and such! and i am making sacrifices to get out of debt - hence why im living pay check to pay check because i am putting my checks towards my debt.
