Why is everyone dogging on ELP? THEY ARE THE BEST for toyota bound problems. And yes their prices are a bit high, but not really because he estimates that it will take him a total of like 23 hours to work on a harness and that comes out to a minor $65 an hour, which in mechanics world is fairly cheap.

I will also add that he charged me $1500 to rework my harness, did it fairly quickly, did a whole bunch of other crap for free, like timing, making a bracket for my fuel pump resistor, a bracket for another sensor, a bracket for my throttle cable to make it tighter, explained to me other problems like my AFM, damaged hoses, etc.

so in my opinion $55 for mechanical work, and $65 for electrical work is very reasonable for a more than capable mechanic.

Good luck David.  I look forward to following the progress.  3sgte Curren  anyone?  biggrin.gif

I know that would be nice. But that'll never happen. If no one has done it yet, then it will be a WHILE before anyone on the boards does. BTW you're the second person that has said that to me? What rumors are circling you guys' brains?

I dont think theyre really dogging ELP. Everyone here knows about ELP's great work. So their concern is just the simple fact that i will have to spend so much money on the celica. Not everyone here can drop $1500 in one shot. And this reply isnt to dog you Chris I'm just trying to clear up the misunderstanding.

Soon to be Boosted,
David
