Like the topic says, my trunk cable on my Red St is very loose and doesn't work. The guy I bought it from had a trunk popper installed, but took it off when he sold the car, now the cable is very loose. Need to know how to tighten it. Thanks

I would take the rear interior panel off and check at the trunk to see of you can tighten it there.

this is a pick of the rear interior with the plastic cover off (with my trunk popper installed) I circled what you need to tighten.

If you want to install a new trunk popper, I have a how-to and pics.

how ? screwed it to the back panel.

the hot-to is here (in MS Word). it has links to the things needed to complete install (popper unit, relay, ect.)

if the link doesn't work, let me know I will host it somewhere else

I had just sold some cables to someone on the boards a few weeks ago, I foget who, maybe madmods or droptopGT, I'm not sure. The one I sold them to said they were replacing theirs. I bet he would know exactly how to tighten it.

my best guess to fix is :

now, the cable runs on the driver's side and loops around the rear panel to the lever from the pass side. The lever needs to be pulled from the driver's side to the pass side. kinda hard to explain, but looking at the pic you will see the cable enter the pic on the right, below the lever and goes up and out of the pic on the left side. Then it comes back in the pic right above the soleniod the goes to the lever. Try moving/adjusting the cable itself further away from the lever to reduce the slack. You dig what I am saying ?
