Hey, yesterday I got a air intake system for my 94 Celica GT. Coming outta the side was a hose that was about an inch thick, but I can find anywhere that it hooks on to. Can someone please tell me where it goes 'cause I doubt it's good to be driving it with it just sittin there. And when I looked on the How-To pages, it said something about a throtle body and an O2 sensor, but I can't find any. Please help

First off, that's a short ram. I'm not going to harrass you to much about mixing the two up, but there are poeple out there who will, so you'd be better off learning that terminology. Second, you might want to think about a different filter. I've heard those kinds let a lot of dirt in the engine. Third, make sure your O2 is hooked up, your car will run a little funny if it's not. Fourth, that tit sticking out there by the throttle body should have a hose on it. Why did you take it off there? That's not a good idea. That an oil breather hose. Your not going to get any hp gains by doing this, you might actually lose some. If I were you, I'd put that hose back on there that came from the valve cover. Your car needs that to run right. I know that you don't understand engines too well, I started out not knowing very much either. But you can't just go pull hoses like that, they do things. Also, if I were you, I'd take off some of that blue rapping. Your working being a rice rod there.

Sorry I wrote such a mean post. I only want to help, I just can't find other ways of saying these things. You don't have to take my advice to heart. It's your car and you should be able to do anything you want with it. I just hope you don't turn to the dark side, (Ricers).

No, sorry, it's a 5sfe I guess, that was just me not really paying attention to what I was typing. So if the picture had an intake that was hooked up incorrectly, how or what does the hose actually go to? I asked the guy who sold it to me and he said that people normal just take the hose off and cap the hole which seems kinda pointless to me. I'd rather hook it to something, I just don't know what, and if I were to hook it to the o2 sensor, how? Obviously, I'm new to the tuner world.

Mossaiah where in az are you from? Tht hose is the breather hose and it connects to the stock airbox. Some air intake systems have a nipple for it.
