15 mm. You may have to roll or dremel the bottom lip of your fenders depending on your drop though - not a big deal. Also, I just bought some 15 mm H & R spacers that I am looking to sell to address some other issues if you are interested. I paid $240 shipped and would sell them to you for $220 shipped. They aren't even opened yet.

11 to 13 mm. That assumes you are running GT wheels now. I have read that the stock offset on GT wheels is 38 or 40. If its 38, its 11 mm further out. If its 40, its 13 mm further out with the spacers.

+48 is the offset of the wheels LBCxGUY is getting. so factoring in that his stock wheels were +38 with 15 mm spacers then his wheels will be 5 mm further out than stock. but you also have to consider the width of the wheel which I am not doing because I'm lazy

if you do get wheel spacers, get H&R's. ill be getting 15mm offset this summer. i wouldnt do anything more than a 15mm spacer.
if you do order them, pm 98celica3...he knows a guy that can get you a good deal on h&r wheel spacers. you can also check his car out to see how they look. This post has been edited by Jdog1385: Apr 2, 2005 - 3:29 AM |

ok, so what overall offset do we need to look flush? and what if we have less, will it look bad? alot of wheels are 35 offset, or 30.....will it look bad or just not as nice as if it were flush?

basicly with a 7" wide wheel, you'll need a 32 or 30 offset to be flush, with 8" wide rims a 35 will do it.

As for how far they stick out, 8" with 35 = 7" with 23. Both stick out too far in my opinion. I think a 7 inch with about 25-30 is right. I bought 7.5" rims with 48 offset and 15mm spacers (net +33). That should be perfect but we will see. Wheels are on backorder This post has been edited by jgreening: Apr 17, 2005 - 11:41 AM -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

ok, so when they talk offset, the bigger it is, the farther in it sits? is that right? cuz then when you add a spacer, it moves it back out that much? or hows that work? because there is a positive and negative offset..... cuz if you have a 48mm offset and add a spacer, thats how it has to be, otherwise youd be out farther than 48mm, and that would make it stick out past the fender.....i just want some clairity.
