Well i know that guys like Charlie wanted to know about this. here is the background info
on the 94-95 ST's the timing can be adjusted by loosening the bolt on the distributor and twisting it. on the 96+ celica ST's with PIA obd2, the distributor is locked. the mounting hole in the distributor bracket is only big enough for the bolt that locks it, what i did to fix this(since adjusting the timing is very important when you go turbo) is i took of the distributor and then took the mounting bracket off of that. with that done i put the bracket in a vice and using a drill bit that was slightly bigger than the bolt, i elongated the hole to where there was about 1/4 inch of metal left on each side(to retain some strength) and then i put it all back on. now i can adjust the timing on my car several degrees in each direction. i will try to get some pics but i dont have a digi cam and im not patient enough to put mods on hold until i can borrow someones camera. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
