Decideing against engine swapping a 3SGTE into my 96 Celica ST or just selling it and buying a 3,000$ 1st gen 6bolt Talon TSi AWD.

What would the best bang for the buck be? I just want to do 13's and I'll be happy.

Also, on a scale of 1 - 10, how difficult is the engine swap from someone that doesnt know much about engines in general? I really dont know what to do for my next car. This 110 horsepower isnt cutting it anymore.

what's funny tho is that a 14b isn't stock. Its a upgrade from the stock. The stock turbo on eclipses\talons\lasers is the t25.

One last thing is to ask when he changed the timing belt just in case. If he has changed it recently then ur pretty much all set to go.

First thing you should buy for the car though is a Greddy Turbo Timer. Cost less than $100 and it helps save the life of ur turbo very much.

yep, replaced all belts less then 10k ago, new brake rotors, fluids, etc. All maintence done to it, its his DD so he kept it very reliable for him.

3sgte def. eagal talons are not reliabel at all. my friend went threw 3 in 3 yrs cuz of engine or transmission problems, and it was just a show car. dont reli on talons, a 3sgte would b a lot better, plus more power available
