Yeah I'm doing a 3SGTE swap for someone in a month and it's costing him around 5 Gs... and I hardly charge anything.

budget 5 g's for the 3s swap and don't think about the 2.2 block with the 3s head. As far as I know it still hasn't been done with full success and anyways, you can just bore and stroke a 3s motor to give you the same displacement.

clip would run around anywhere from 2000 to 2500 without shipping. shipping for a clip is expensive. anywhere from 300-500 or may even run as high as 800 depending on ur location and location of where u getting it at. engine can run anywhere from 1200-1800 and shipping for these should fall around 250-500 again depending on ur location. oh btw this is refering to a st185 clip/engine since theyre the most commonly used. st205 is more expensive. then theres all the other costs... labor and xta parts rolleyes.gif

Yeah, you might as well go for the full swap, it's hard to find a head and even if you did it's made for a low compression engine. Seeing that you want to use the 5S block you'll be running a really low compression and you'll actually lose power. You could use it but you'll also need high compression pistons and those alone would run most of your $1,300.
