i think u all are being decived here...the neon is powered by a 420a dohc engine..the very same engine thats in the 95-99 mitsu eclipse rs,gt,and gs modles..i own a gs eclipse, and have seen engine work done on them....low 16's would be about right...however the 118mph doesn't sound just...from my experience it seems like she would be running 90-100mph in the 1/4...but yeah, neons can be very very fast if you do them up right...they get bashed on, but when people find out that some eclipses have the same engine, then they give alil more credit, i know i sure as hell did

That's because the 420A is a Chrysler engine and not a true Mitsubishi engine, i've run them all; Neon, Talon ESi, and Eclipse GS/RS and with good conditions for both cars the Celica ST204 will win. Everyone that I ran had an intake and exhaust, so do I so we are pretty even as far as mods. Don't get me wrong it wasn't like I beat them by a mile, but I did beat them by a number of car lengths.
