raced a 240 sx, and won!!! Options

well as it says.......

i was in front of the 240 sx, he gets over and he came flying past on my left . i was like f it, cuz it was raining.Then a gay honda tryed flyin past on my right (had a **** fart can)and i was like f it let them 2 go at it,and they did and took off the the 240 sx won.
well about 5 min later hes aways up, and my friends like i know ur faster then that honda catch him, so i take off not fast tho keep it in 5th.catch up and he take off but i stay on him, so he gets over we slow to about 55, and my firend looks over give the thumbs up and we go! we go to about 90 and left off when i was a 1/2 to a car legnth infront of him
sound un real or by able for a 240 sx?
i got a 94 st with a gt swap i believe
i kno it was a st but who i bought it from had a cuz with a gt and i coulda sworen he said he swaped it out also i beat a pgt with a exhaust the other night from a stop to 65. i have a short ram and cat back of some sort nothing great tho.

I do find it hard to believe that a 7afe powered celi could beat a 240sx. and I doubt it was bad driving because the KA24 has quite a bit of torque. as for your car having a 5sfe, do you have any pictures of the engine bay?

no not right now, and from what i have seen it looks like a 7afe tho. idk i seam to have alot more power then what ppl say tho about these cars i mean i mess around alot, but idk. it seams like high end i have alot of speed, but like in first some times there isnt a whole lot of torque?? its weird i tryed burning out 2 day and i couldnt, and i was like wtf!!! but then again i need air in my tires

What gen 240 was it?? The 95-99's had more power than the previous model.. Maybe it was an older one? Still, those things have some go to em.

no damn clue i just know i was goin 90 to catch it we slowed to like 55 or 60 and went to about 90 or somethin and we both let off at the same time and i was ahead of him

wrong..sry a 95 s14 has 155hp and 160 torque...much more then a gt

He's right. . my 240 stock with 155 torque would beat my celica. . much more torque and same weight. But if he's a bad driver or a slowmatic, then I could see beating him with a GT, but no way in hell with a ST. St runs 17's, 240's run 16's all day long, high 15's with mods and 5 speed.

then again I used to smoke my friend in his 240 but he had a bad sensor and had no acceleration what so ever. Now he has a 300ZX and can handle me w/ no problem.

i raced my friend's 240sx (S13) before, he's got injen intake/custom headers, dunno what exhaust, stage 3 clutch, short shifter and apexi front strut brace. the 240sx is fast, especially on turns, but i still won lol.. more bout the driver than the car lol...

It's actually the other way around the KA24 produces about the same torque as the 5SFE produces horsepower and around the same the horsepower as the 5SFEs torque.
Nevermind, it's 140hp and 152 lbs. ft. for the SOHC and 155hp with 160 lbs. ft. for the DOHC from 1990 to 1994. Also keep in mind that they have a curb weight of around 2700 lbs. when you're dealing with close horsepower and torque numbers that makes a difference. As far as a 7AFE beating a 240SX single or double you need some serious work done, 5SFE with I/E could run with them easily but not destroy them.

i can garantee you that the 240, know matter what year it is, is just a little faster than a 6th gen.

maybe out the factory...what about after 10 years of driving?

1/4 mile times that people pull off websites are not accurate, every car is different if not cared for.
ie. my buddy bought a Acura GS-R from some old guy w/ 150K on it. Ran it at the track and on his 2nd run hit a 15.6, which i believe is the car and driver time for it.
where as i believe eclipse GSXs were low 14's when they came out, but now most expect low 15's when they get it.
