Ok so I decided to do my 3sgte swap myself, me question is I want to get an extra engine harness from a 95 st or 95 gt and get the harness done so I can still drive my car while I get everything ready. Anyway my question is does it matter if I get the same year and model harness? I have a 95 st so if I get a gt harness will it make a huge difference?

umm if you have an st then get an st harness. buying a gt harness will get you nowhere. you wont even be driving anywhere let alone plugging your harness into it.

so to answer your question. buy a 94-95 ecu. if all else just get any st ecu.

OK uhmmm, an st ecu will get me no where I don't want an ecu I have 2 of them. And for one they will not work with a 3sgte. I have a front clip. I want an extra harness so I can take the extra one and the 3s harness and get the harness made for the swap, and I can drive my car while it gets done. And I dont want a standalone, when the 3s ecu will work perfectly fine.

yes, you can do that.

dont wase your money on it tho. you will have a few weeks downtime when do a swap, there is just no way around it. when i did my swap, i started working on the clip 1st, pulling out the 3s, cleaning stuff up, etc. then when all that was done, i pulled my car in last to minimize downtime. even still, i didnt have a running car for about a month.

Thanks, Lagos. What kind of problems did you run into that kept it from running?
