Does anyone here installed a aftermarket steering wheel in the celica before? I am trying to install a MOMO stering wheel in my celica and heard that the horn will not work with aftermarket steering wheel. Is it true? Is there a way to make the horn work? Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't done it in the Celica, but as far as the horn goes it works by gounding the wire for the horn signal, find the black ground wire for it and hook one end to a switch and the other end to a ground location, voila horn.

QUOTE(Hanyo @ May 19, 2005 - 3:50 PM) I have a MOMO wheel installed.. you need to get the right hub adapter so the horn will work.. Which hub did you get? Is it the MOMO one? Are there any other things that you have to do to make the horn work? I found some MOMO hub adapter and this is what the website said "This hub is designed for non-airbag cars. If you car has an airbag, you will loose the use of your horn because the horn wiring is in the "clock spring" wiring harness for the airbag, which must be removed to install this hub." So, how do you actually wire the horn? |
