I finaly located the leak, to my relief it wasn't the tank that was rotted out. It's a small coupler in the rear section of the fuel line (that goes from the center up and around the gas tank). Is there a easy/cheap way that i could stop that leak? How do you detach those couplers?

I had the same problem, mine just came loose. Try to tighten it, if it doesnt work, you could probably get generic replacements at advanced auto or the sort

There's a copper washer on each side of that fitting. Try putting in some new ones.
