is this possile i was talking to my mechanic he said he doesnt think it will work since he doesnt know where it would go on the transmission. any help would be great thanks.

i believe there is a sensor you plug into where the cable went

Might want to try a speed sensor from a V6 5 speed Solara.

sensor must be from a 93+ mr2 e153 tranny. or 93+3sgte. i'm not sure on the solara but i highly doubt it. gotta tap into your cluster with a new wire.

the newer E15x trannies, including the Solaras will use an electronic speed sensor... although the Solara's might be calibrated different due to the final drive being different.
