At this point I don't care what happens- I tried more then once to salvage this meet and its going down in flames. If the 8 of you are still down to come that would be great, but i am not getting my hopes up considering my luck so far.

we had 6 celicas and right when we started to grill we got rained on and we ended up at my house. I was looking at my pics and i dont have any pictures of the cars at the lake-

so basically I am not organizing any more meets because apparently i suck at this. sry guys

You don't suck, it just was too busy for a lot of people. If I had gotten this swap done in time (like I was supposed to), then there would have been myself, the owner of the car, and three other people (one Corolla with a swapped engine, one Tercel with a swap, and a Camry guy) would also have been there, but since I couldn't make it they decided not to go.

my impression of a 6gc meet is precisely the following:

1994-1999 Toyota celicas and enthusisasts who like to talk about what they have done etc, receiving advice, taking pictures etc... and generally having fun.

By no means I am happy to see vehicles outside the above mentioned for the simple reason because this is a 6GC meet.. not 7, not 5, not 4, not tercel.. not corolla not mr2 and not supra (although my favourite).. I see them on every corner... and it is as fun as .. well there is no fun in getting to see another vehicle.. this time upclose that reembles 47 standing outside on a student parkin lot.

I was/am/will always be looking for 6gc meets to be 6gc only... and I would rather see 3 6gc cars opposing to 24 other vehicles (props to them for trying.. but we are a 6gc community here and it would be nice to stick to such)

btw.. I came to the meet looking like a zebra with primer in 5 places... but I still came.. those that had their car mobile should have come to look at the others and show themselves.


BTW: this goes to Mac... lol you cheater taking 84-87-287.. the Tuscani parkway or whatever that parkway was was a much more interesting and picturesque road.... taking 84-87 was faster but a bit boring...

i like the idea of multi car meets. once u go to a few celica only meets, you kind of know what to expect, and a lot of times celica guys just dont show up. if you mix up the car types then youll at least get 4-5 people from each car group to show up and then it turns into a big meet

I also like seeing other cars. Just because its a 6gc doesnt mean you need to eliminate other cars. Those other cars arent replacing the Celicas, they are adding to the meet. So if you dont want anything to do with those owners & cars, then dont talk to them. But saying dont come, thats silly. Theres no reason why other modified cars especially Toyotas cant come. After all, talking with people who are advid about cars is nice, the more the merrier.

BTW: Sorry guys I didnt make it. Celica is out of commission and the Rodeo wasnt being reliable. Hopefully if theres another meet in Sept. I'll be able to bring the Celi.

yea, the weather wasnt all that great, but i still thought it was a good meet, wished more cars came, but o well, and we will plan something for september, just have to figure out when and where, so we can get the most ppl to show up, maybe another LSP?
