Browsing another forum today, I read a post by one of the guys at Full Race. Some of you guys might recognize the name as a top aftermarket exhaust manifold manufacturer. They also manufacture top rated Honda and other turbo kits and are now getting into the Toyota market. In short, these guys are all about quality and KNOW their stuff.
I found his comments regarding Celicas very interesting. His reasoning will likely spur some controversy as well. Anyway, on to the post. Here is the question he was asked about a new turbo kit they are releasing for the 3sgte and what he wrote: QUOTE(dave st185) Geoff, will you have an opportunity to test fit the manifold/turbo for a Celica, particularly the ST205 genIII, but also an ST185 genII? - I know the ST205's are not generally available in the US so appreciate you could have some problems with that QUOTE(Full Race Geoff) i have already put the manifold/dp on a gen 3 fwd celica, i have some very poor quality pictures of it, which i can send to you. It fit perfectly, just like the mr2. On a side note, I believe that a fwd celica is probably one of the best fwd turbo platforms there is... particularly considering the strength of the trans.
