In my never-ending quest to have a clean engine bay, I began relocating my relay box(the one near the passenger-side front of the engine bay) today...I planned on putting the relays inside my fender, but then I got curious as to whether or not they're even required.
It seems to me that relays 2 and 3 only control the fan on the passenger side. And after looking at the wiring diagram below, it seems like they would only activate that fan when the A/C is on. Electrical experts, am I correct that the fan #2(the one on the passenger-side) can only turn on when the A/C system is on? If so, then I can simply remove the three relays completely. Then I could add a simple SPDT relay to turn on fan #2 when the other fan is turned on. Would this be a good idea, or would that be too much of a current draw? I'm having trouble understanding this diagram, and I can't tell if it's possible for both fans to be going at the same time. Thanks! ![]()
