well she puts the car in reverse and it goes fine like normal but when she puts it in first its like it lost almost all power and it goes put put put like not getting enough fuel. i told her i think it is a fuel injector issue or fuel pump and she asked someone related to her that is a mechanic and he said the same but he said it could be a belt issue also. it just started this morning. it feels like the car is drained of its power in the drive. i figured that was to quick for a clutch problem or transmission it would take longer for it to get there. is that enough information let me know if u need anymore to help me with this issue. thanks lagos

umm a air leak in the vac hoses, inake piping or intercooler piping, a loose afm could do that.

how does the car idle?

afm is air flow metering, tells the ecu how much oxygen is in the air, thus how much fuel to use etc.

i doubt its a vacum leak cause it would have a rough idle, and same issues forwards or reverse. Have the tranny checked out sounds like you bent or broke 1st gear, can the car start off in 2nd gear fine with the normal bit of lag?

i can try to start it in 2nd gear. i dont know how u can brake first gear. i mean she was new at driving a manual but she didnt do anything to bad besides bump around. that doesnt sound like something that happens. and this would happen over night i will try to drive it in second gear tonight.
