ST and GT brakediscs Options

I have a ST at the moment, is it possible to transer the brakeclaw and disc from a GT on a ST? Bigger brakes are always better.
Or what do i have to modify to make it work

I think that the only diff in brakes is that the gt has rear disks and the st has rear drums. so unless your talking about a drum to disk swap then I dont think swaping to gt parts will make a diff.

I thought that the GT discs are bigger. I have front and rear discs on my ST.

GT front discs are larger... 275mm verses 254.7mm

You don't have to modify anything. Just swap over the rotors and calipers.

no gt4 calipers don't work since they are superstrut suspension and the GT/ST is mcpherson from what i understand but get this info double checked

To swap the calipers -- GT or GT4 -- you'd need the brackets they sit on and with the GT4, you'd also need the backing plate that holds the bracket.

Don't need the backing plate. On the front, those are more or less a dust cover. You don't even really need to run them if you don't want to. As for the GT4 calipers, the caliper bracket spacing is the same between the two calipers (ST/GT vs GT4), but the actual knuckles are totally different, the GT4 having super struts, extendes the knuckle out father to clear the rotors, while the GT/ST doesn't.

Consider this, between the 03+Civic SI and the Acura RSX-S, the RSX has something like 12 inch diameter rotors while the Civic has 10.5 inches or so. They however share the same caliper, the difference between the two are the spindles and knuckles, which extend farther on the RSX-S than the Civic SI.

He has a Euro spec Celica... which measn he already has rear disc brakes. More than likely, refrence was between the front brakes of ST/GT.
