#1, 7afe rods are stupidly small... we had the block on a stand, and my buddy was pushing the piston out from the crank side (engine upside down) and when the piston/rod fell in my hands, the first thing I said was "it's a girl!"
Here are pictures of the 7afe rod and piston Vs a 2zzge rod and piston... which I still might try and use. ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, I think this 7a belonged to someone that wanted power... it had Iridium plugs (which i am going to use in my car. ![]() Also, both cams are different part numbers. I have not had the chance to do any measurements though. I am also going to bring a 7a piston/rod and a 2zz piston/rod. I might have them shave 2mm off of the crank and use the 2zz units. The only thing is... the 2zz piston in 3mm higher from the pin than the bleeding 7a... so I might have to buy 4ag pistons. ![]() |
