Why can't people be responsible?, Damn hit-and-run-ers. Options

So the other night I was hanging out at a friends house with a bunch of other people. Some of them I knew some I didn't. Anyway, I was one of the last people to leave, and when I walk out to my car(my 3000GT) at about midnight, I see this dent in my right front fender. Obviously the person who was parked in front of me tried to back out and busted my blinker and gave me a good 6 inch round dent. It's just bad enough so that I really need to fix it, and will probably cost me around $200 at least, but minor enough so that there's not a chance insurence would cover much, if any of it. What the hell is wrong with people? I know how bad it can screw people over, so I'd never hit and run someone. I'd love to find who did it, but there were too many people there to know. Plus I couldn't prove anything anyway.....

Anyone else ever been hit and no one 'fessed up? It seems to happen a lot. And it pisses me off. Why can't people just take responsibility for their actions?
