Ok, so back to my 4age ST. I fried the ECU a while back and the car had terrible F/A mixture. Today, I got a new Distrubtor cap and installed it in the engine along with the rotor. The old one had a crack on it where the spark wire went to CYL 2 or 3 not sure anymore.
Anways So I hook up the Fried ECU to test the new cap and rotor and WHAM! The engine starts working ok again with good A/F Mix ( 8% rich). WTF is with this? The engine seems to work when it wants too and doesn't when it doesn't feel like it. I wonder if my engine is cursed? (Like some Japanses guy died drifting in it) Oh Yeah, FYI an engine will not start if the ECU was just plugged in and hasn't recevied the chance to 'boot up'. (I feel like an idiot) |
