The picture below shows the full "kit"

The drive belt on the left has been extended and a additional drive shart was made to span the manifold. This was done due to the lack of space to fit the rotrex supercharger. So it was put into a space on the opposite side.

that's awesome, but that engine is the 3S-GE. it won't work on the US gt, which has the 5sfe engine. nice clean install tho. smile.gif

As far as I am aware... it hasn't been done on a 3s-ge celica before. So I'm happy! wink.gif (Unless one of you guys know different?)

I can assure you that the system fitted to my car IS NOT a "off the shelf" kit. The system is a custom design and I will guarantee you you will not find the same system on any other car.

Was the system you are talkin ' about made to run on a UK 3s-ge engine?

Do you know who makes/suppliys it?

this is right from rippmods
The RIPP Modifications Inc., Supercharger Drive System (SDS) is designed to bolt up to the in line 4 found in the Toyota Camry (years pending testing). This unit will work with auto or manual transmissions. The system will bolt on an additional 88-100+ horse power at the wheels, which translates to 100-135+ net horse power at the crank.

If this first paragraph was enough to spark questions then take a look at what others have been asking! Check out our FAQs listed above.

Power, Drivability, Reliability: these three words sum up the RIPP Modifications, Inc. SDS. RIPP Modifications, unique approach to product development bringing together a product with the level of refinement that your car has been waiting for.

RIPP Modifications has a history of developing high-quality street driven packages. Our Toyota SDS system continues this tradition. This product uses some of the most sought after components on the market today, RIPP-designed components such as the Drive system it self, made of 6061 spun CNC aluminum and of course, Vortech/RIPP-engineered and calibrated Blower and now featuring the HKS AFR fuel programming, which turns your stock ECU into an adjustable fuel controller calibrated for the SDS, to give you safe and reliable HP without going lean as well as offering adaptive learning that calibrates itself to your driving conditions.

Highlights of the kit include the following:

• HKS AFR(Fuel controller)

• 4 270cc Injectors

• Rising rate fuel pressure regulator with gauge

• Adjustable boost levels

• Walboro 255 Fuel pump

• 2 Part 19 page Illustrated Instructions

• Easy install

All hardware included with kit for easy indstall

The 2003 system is running smoother than ever. The new AFR programming currently available has been running reliably in all testers cars, take a look at the new HP levels below, see what you will be driving around.

Power will come on so smooth you think you have a much larger engine. There are no run problems at all. Most notable is no check engine lights or run rich problems. No stalling or boost creep associated with turbo. No oil consumption or thermal break down. Its the safest forced induction system avalible for any car.

The SDS is the most reliable and powerful kit on the market available. It offers a 1 year warranty from RIPP and a 2 year from Vortech.

New Horse Power values:

5SFE Automatic transmission: 180whp 170lb/ft (230 crank HP corrected)
Est 210whp on the 5spd version.

Take a look at pictures of the Polished SDS . (Optional - Price may Vary - Inquire for Details)

A first look at the production SDS system. Vortech V5Q G-Trim, in place on a 5SFE engine, producing 180WHP and 170lb/ft on an automatic transmission. Est 210whp on the 5spd version. The entire system is CNC designed and fabricated for precise fit and finish.

Price:$ 3599.95 Part Number: sds toyota4cyl
all they need is someone in the NY area with a GT to go to they're shop to check for hood clearance. i think this is another option for those of us that for emmissions reasons or whatever, cant do a swap...and considering what it includes, the price isnt all that bad, IMO.

if you live anywhere that doesnt have anything about emissions get a 2nd gen 3s-gte. for about 1500 and about 500-1000 to install and have way more power than that can ever put out

but yea it would be nice in cali.
