Just so you all know, I feel like an idiot after this. I'm uh having problems removing my spoiler. I searched the forums for all the recommendations on removing it and have tried using the following - nylon string, fishing line, hair dryer, and Goo-Gone, lots of pulling. I've removed the 4 bolts holding it on. Have pulled to the point where I thought the spoiler would break. After >> 3 << hours, I give up. It's like 11 years ago someone at Toyota thought it would be funny to weld the spoiler on in hopes that someone would later try to remove it. Am I missing something obvious or what? confused.gif

which bolts are you removing? i had the same problem, kept pulling, etc... then i realized i removed the wrong bolts. there wasn't really any sticky **** underneath it, if you remove the right bolts it will come right off.

each side has 2 bolts. One of the bolts is covered by a rubber gromet. I had no problems with mine.

I guess I did the same thing you did...taking off the correct bolts did the trick. wink.gif haha The two I missed were the ones in the rear part, covered by the plastic.

Now the next question.. I bought the custom riser blocks from doGGy. Same as a GT4 except a little lower. Do I just drill holes in the spoiler for the bolts to attach the riser to the spoiler? I can see the little 'indents' in the spoiler where the screws would go. What did you do to put your gt4 risers on?

Yes, I want to get DoGGy's custom blocks too, and was just out looking at my 95 Hatchback. I unscrewed two bolts on each side that were to the OUTSIDE of the black plastic on the interior of the liftgate. Are there two MORE bolts on each side hidden under the plastic that need to be removed? How did you get the big plastic cover off? If anyone else can help, thank you.

the big plastic cover just pulls off, it's held by like snaps, literally pull it off of the car and there will be 1 bolt on each side that's under the plastic

yeh i did mine. there are 2-3 bolts on each side, and one bolt in the middle. undo all of them, and the rock the spoiler from from the doubble sided tape thats holding them on.
