Over the winter I'm planning on doing a full-wire tuck and conversion to Megasquirt with EDIS on my 4A-GE. I want my bay to be show-car clean.
![]() Tentative plans are to hide wires, relocate the fuse box, remove the windshield washer fluid fill nozzle and make one that I can get to by removing the front bumper, cutting off the battery tray and grinding the crap off of the frame rail, getting a different coolant reservoir that can be mounted lower down under the frame rail, removing the power steering or getting a pump with a built-in tank(like the ST's) and mounting it behind the engine if possible, removing the ignitor and coil(duh...I'll be using EDIS for igntion ![]() Now here are the questions: 1. Can I remove the charcoal canister? What exactly does it do? 2. Does anyone know where to buy universal fuel filters that can mount to the firewall? 3. Can I paint the top of the radiator with high-heat Duplicolor paint? 4. Do you guys think it's possible to move the windshield wiper motor elsewhere? Like on the other side of the firewall? I'm not sure how it works and haven't seen schematics or anything so I dunno if this is at all feasible. Any other concerns, questions, or comments would be appreciated. I'm trying to research as much as possible now so that I can start on this fairly soon. ![]()
