Ok here is the deal. I have a 12" Alpine type-e in a sealed box and its RMS is 175watts. So every day for the last 3 month I was running it at 200-300rms watts for about 2.5 hours daily and 350-400rms watts for 10-20min every other day. And the thing still didn't blow on me. It does disturb when at around 350watts and starts loosing it but it works fine. I am trying to kill this thing as slow as I can cuz in march I am gonna be getting W6V2 with ported box which sould make a lot more base. I just ran an SPL on the type-e + Kenwood 500rms 4ohm stable and Panasnic deck with 5v pre-output today and it came out to 138db's which is pretty good for a system that costs around 500$ (well its 500$ for me cuz I bought all of my stuff exept my amp from my friend who gave me a lot of cheap deals).

Yeah the Panny's don't actually run a true 5V it reads out at like 3.4 which kinda sucks but anyways. Yes I totally agree the Type E is a very reliable sub. Do you have an older model or this year's? Becuase this year's actually runs at 250 RMS but in any case, good selection of sub.

its an older model, I bought it from a friend for 20$ (thats one of the reasons why I want to slowly blow the **** out of it.) And yea panasonic sux in their voltage meter, but hey 3.75 is better than 2 or 2.5V. I am probably going to get a voltage booster next summer and maybe get another amp so that I get combined power of around 1000Watt's RMS. Should be pretty crazy.
