So I took my celica in for brake work and to have both front cv shafts replaced. after the job was done i took the car out for a spin in which it worked fine for about half a day and then it started missfiring a little bit, normally when i gun it or accellerate at a good speed. its been becoming progressively worse over the past two days so i got the manager to go ahead and look it over. but my guess is, is that when the person that was doing the front drive shafts was installing everything he probably got some of the cv grease on the timing belt (when he was doing the passenger side shaft) and its been slowly spreading grease all over the belt... dunno, any thoughts tho?
