My Dads car was hit Yesterday... Parked!, Good thing it wasn't my celi. Options

I took my dad's maxima to work yesterday since i am in the middle of my swap and something nuts happened. The door to the street was open while i worked when sudenly i heard a loud crash and my alarm went off. I look outside and see a green taurus backing away from behind my car. My boss and i went to to talk to him but he sped off. I ran in, grabed my keys and hoped in the car and gave chase. He got about two blocks away when i caught him and my friend took down the info. He pulled into an apartment complex and i pulled in right behind him. The kid steps out and could bearly keep his balance. The kid is 17 with no licence no insurance and (drumroll) DUI. Yup a 17 yo drunk at 3 in the afternoon WTF? is wrong with the world. Cops were called and took the car and the kid. We took the car in for estimates an the damage was in the $4000-$5000 range. Our insurance will cover $3500 for unisured motorist and they will pay the rest. Totally insane, I am Just really glad my car was not the one parked there or i would problly be in jail right now for beating up a minor.... I'll see if i could get pics of the damage up later.
