If somebody can confirm this then maybe the 600bhp "stock internals" theoritically has a point.
A guy from our club orders internals(rods,pistons etc) for his ST205,and the owner of the performance shop told him that the same part number belongs to Supra Engine 2JZ-GTE Internals!!!! Hmmm...i think most of you know that Supras can kick out more than 700BHP without touching the engine block! In that case the 600bhp "stock internals" owner does not give to us so much details about the car For me 600BHP it is too much for stock internals. |

I spoke with an engineer at Carrillo Ind. (High Performance Rods manufacture) about getting a set of rods for my 3S motor. He told me to stick with the stock rods unless I planned on going beyond 600HP. He then went on to say that the 3S rods make the chevy LS1's rods look like toys!
The stock crank is forged steel, so its going to handle just about anything. The only weak spot is the pistons. I've heard of stock pistons lasting to 300 and 350HP, but never beyond that point. -------------------- Scott
