I'm not telling my insurance company.. They don't even look anyways. An insurance adjuster who knows engines doesn't usually come and inspect the damage... and so what if your engine isn't covered. In the majority of accidents your engine comes out fine anyways. If your block gets crushed, then most likely you aren't living and don't care anymore anyways...

From where I'm from (Toronto Canada) if you lie or don't tell your insurance company of major mods they have the right to not insure you when the time comes. If I hit a pull or hit something by accident which hopefully will never happen they will not cover my damages. Hitting a pole down can cost up to $50,000. My friend was drink and he hit the pole down. Damage was about $55,00 but his insurance company paid for it. Now if he had a different engine he would be ****ed.
