Is it possible to get a code 71 with a JDM 3sgte? 71 is the EGR code.

Ok I would say I definatly have the wrong ECU, the part number on it looks like it is probably from an MR2, its 17330. I don't know what its from but according to everything I have seen my ECU part # should be 20751. I don't even know how my car runs, but I am guessing that it is from a calif. spec mr2 turbo. This would explain why I can't get rid of my o2 code and why I am getting a code 71 as well, and also the huge lack of power that I am getting from this.
