Who would be interested in getting driveshaftshop.com to do up some stage 2 (or 3, we're still going over details) for our cars? I know a couple people I've talked to have been busting axles since they put in the 3sgte. One guy I talked to last night has gone through 2 sets and is now having a local shop try to build some for him that will hold.

Haven't ironed out a price yet, but he says they'd need about 10 people. I'm pretty sure that it would be easier and cheaper to get a set of these up front than it would be to keep replacing shafts down the road. I'm also discussing the possibility of being able to get the splines changed on them later to fit a new gearbox if anyone upgrades to an mr2 box (instead of having to mix/match the mr2 and gt4 shafts).

A couple things I'm unclear on now are:

1) Does the 5th gen share the same shafts as the 6th? If we could make this happen for both gens it would obviously be a lot better for everyone..

2) If anyone has gone through axle failure, let me know. We're trying to find out where the weak point is in the stock shafts. So far it looks like it's near the outer CV where it connects to the hub.

If you have any questions or comments, post them here or email me at ahastings@darwinsc.com

Thanks guys,
Aaron
