I spent all day installing my car alarm and it's still not completely done. Most of the morning involved taking the front fender off so I could bury the siren and run the wires into the interior. All I have left is to wire in the trigger to set it off when the doors or liftback are opened. From everything I can see in the wiring diagrams and in the paperwork that came with my alarm it should be a red/white wire at the fuse panel. I found a connector under the fuse panel with a red/white wire on it, unplugged it, the dome light went off. Must be the one right? When I cut the red/white wire going to that connector and plugged it back in the dome light still came on.

Anybody know off hand if I got the right wire?

The alarm came from Crutchfield, it's the 533i. It has a lot of nice features: keyless entry, locks the doors when you turn the key, unlocks when you stop. It is able to pop the trunk but I need some sort of solenoid to make it work. Has anyone done this and can you tell me how to do it?

Thanks
