so i only had my kyb for like half a year and i blew them out already. Well, i did hit this bridge pretty hard (hard enough that i got my front wheels in the air) then i hit this pothole. then it started to act up.
the front right wheel makes this weird poping noise, like the sound of a flat tire, whenever i come to a stop, when i start from a full stop, and under heavy acceleration.

i first thought this was a control arm or bearings or something of that sort but i guess not. so, i'm gonna get toyota struts with my sportlines still in there. is that bad? i hear toyota struts are just as good as kyb.

anywho, my car is causing quite some troubles lately and i'm not too happy.

its looks like my friend rip me off and only put the back two kyb struts the first time and left the front two ones stock. let them blow out and make me come back to the shop i guess.
so, its the same thing as me paying extra 500 bucks just to get the front stuts installed, making it look ilke he bought teo new struts and installed them or some bs like that.
i can't believe he did that to me...

i can't even tell him that i know what he did to rip me off...

Isnt the front just inserts? meaning you use the original struts, break it open and put in the new shocks.

ah well, just going off my mind.

how much will instalation of both front and back struts with springs usually cost?

what i'm thinking is maybe, just maybe the whole installation was very expensive so he cut the pricing into two by making it look like the struts actually blew and they fixed.

Just do it yourself, its not that hard. Go to some Auto store and order some Monroe struts its ready to be fit right back in and you don't have to take out inserts and what not. Then get a spring compressor and compress your springs. Slap on the stock springs onto the monroe and hit the nearest alingment center.

DIY=$250
$200 for the struts
$50 for the alingment
Compressor = free after u return them back to store
-
SHOP=$500
-----------------
u save $250

Sue his ass. Do you have the work order?

Business is business... especially when he's jipping you for 500 bucks. How can you even call him your friend. I'd kick his ass. I hate people like that.

it might be easy for you but i have no mechanical skills what so ever. if my parents find out too, they'll kill me for trying to install them myself
