haha, oh just starting a new chapter in my life, maybe it is a midlife crisis.
I grew up in kind of a outdoors person and lost that somewhere along the way.
I am trying to get back to a hillbilly state of mind, lol and these cars don't really fit in that plan.

I want an old Tacoma or 4Runner so bad.. I've always loved the old box styles since I was a kid.

it is fun, too bad I have to drive 1 1/2 hours for that kind of fun.

sad thing is these old mid/late 80s 4wd trucks are selling for what 6gens do.
around here they bring 3 to 4k.

HAHA - I feel you man. Getting rid of my Ranger was hard. And I do LOVE those old Tacomas. Where I live an 89 or so Tacoma with 4wd and the 22re will sell for 3200 easy... about 1000 more than what my celica is even worth.

But let me tell you something about the Celica.... you have to get her back to her routes. She isn't a let me slam her and put subs in her, and let me body kit/rice it out type of car..... She's a rally car. She's meant for the off road. I only wash it after I get it greasy from working on it. I just bought some wiring for it to attach it to a trailer, and I use her to do just about everything for my country boy lifestyle....

Just last weekend....

I was very impressed with how well that Kayak fit on her. Strap locations and everything built into it. it was meant to do this but i've never been able to find a factory roof rack lol

Oh and deer hunting? you better believe it! I threw a big piece of plastic in the back, dropped the seats, lined the walls with cardboard and pulled the plastic over top the cardboard.... boo ya. Gutted deer in the trunk taken across the county to hang at my dads. She's a work car that handles and drives great IMO. 188,000 miles and does everything but pull my john boat..... yet.... lol(remember those tail light wires for a trailer?)

But the trucks are nice... I miss mine smile.gif

I've gotten tired of being under my 6gc every winter when its 10 degrees out, so I picked up something with a warranty smile.gif

The fuel economy really doesn't suit the 60 mile round trip to work everyday, but hey... That's what I have Abby for smile.gif

You'll need the warranty. wink.gif

I'd buy a Mitsubishi too if I enjoyed the reliability of a wet napkin...

I was about to say something similar.

I've never met anyone with a "reliable Mitsubishi." My first car was going to be a 87 Mitsubishi Starion TSi Widebody, but it had a bad head gasket and I asked my uncle what kinda work he had to do to it throughout the years... no thanks. Yeah it was rare, but ****ing hell the down time would kill me.

I've actually seen quite the opposite from Mitsubishi. Never had much to do with a Starion but my sister (read: female driven, translated- treated like crap) had a '99 Galant. I drove the piss out of that thing when I had it. When she had it, it saw 20,000 mile oil changes, never had any major service done, went through a few ditches and countless nights of binge drinking, and ran great until the day she drove it into a flood.
