I just got my injen intake installed, boy I love it. Much agressive. Sure I "feel" a little bit of a gain, but how much did I really gain if anything?

Anybody know concrete numbers to the wheels? Or corrected HP? I would love saying I "added" 5 more HP to my car, even though a certain amount only made it to the wheels because it's corrected.

How about a Greddy Exhaust?

yeah, no more than 5hp for an intake, max of 10hp for a full catback

but what most people dont understand is gains on the low end and mid range are more important. its the shift it the power band that you are feeling, not the gain in HP

I agree. A lot of people over look Torque. All of the ricers are all about, "Oh...I got x HP." But then you ask them how much Torque and they are all like, "Huh?" I'm sure some people know what I'm talking about.

is there really a gain? I know that more air the better but the stock filter was in a vacuum sealed plastic box sucking cooler air from that squarish tube that runs down toward the left headlight! Versus more air that is probably hot from the engine?! The cooler stock air is better but the injen's more air is also better but its hot air. in the end doesn't it just all even out to = zero hp gain?

I'm not sure, but I think you have the cold air intake with a ram air intake. You see, the way cold air intakes are positioned, they are designed to gain cold air from outside of the engine bay, hence the name. I don't mean to give misinformation, so someone correct me please if I'm wrong.

theres definetly a gain, but I think your right about it being minimal due to the warm air factor. I went to a shortram first, then a CAI several days later and the cold air makes a big difference. probably 1-2 hp for a shortram due to high flow filter element, and maybe 3-4 hp for a CAI. measly gains I know, but the shift in powerband makes the car much more fun IMHO.

Now is that 1-2 to the wheels? And how much would you say that translates into adjusted?

Just say you got 5hp. That's far better than "20hp" and such I;ve heard from civic drivers.
