quick summary: driving down the freeway when i hear a loud thump, see in my side mirror some black thing is flying down the free way, next thing i know, my steering breaks loose, and my wheels lock and im screeching to a stop trying to get to the hazard lane... after i get towed, i see that on my driver side front wheel, the lower control arm disconnected at the lower ball joint, and was resting on the inner part of my rim, ended up basically scraping off a lot of metal off then inner part of my rim, so swirled metal is all tangle on my rim... now i know i needed to change the hub assembly, and i know from toyota they are like about 150-180, does any of you know where to get it for less other than a junckyard??? or atleast if it is from a junk yard a new one, like one from where you are from and possibly give me a price. i dont plan on keeping my celica for too much longer, already got like over 200k miles on it and looking into the 240sx route. and what do you think could possibly have gone wrong??? i replaced the ball joint about a year ago, so whats the deal??? any ideas and any tips... thanks i know this site has helped me out millions, so just about one more time would be greatly appreciated
