I was driving to school yesterday when I noticed that my temperature was beyond the red zone into H and shortly thereafter my car starting steaming. I pulled over and opened the hood to just see smoke everywhere, but after a while I noticed it was only coming from the radiator. Luckily, my girlfriend dropped by a took me to Pepboys nearby where I picked up some coolant and filled up the radiator because it was empty.
But it was no coincidence. Today I saw a huge leak under my car and it smelled foul (coolant) and looked greenish. There wasn't that much liquid so I figured I was okay and my car had enough coolant for the engine not to overheat. I drove to school and guess what happens? Smoke. This is getting annoying. I don't want to take the car to a mechanic when I just dropped so much money getting the struts and wheel bearings replaced less than a month ago. It seems just when I fix something, another thing gets broken. Anyways, anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? I'd hate to fill up the radiator every couple days. -------------------- |
