hey guys, wondering if any of you used the 3sgte turbo stay on your 5sfte projects, ive had some problems with my exhaust manifold studs breaking off, and wondering if anyone else has had and similar problems.
broke the top right one and bottom left over the summer, i replaced all the studs at that time, and now i have the two upper corner ones broken again.
anyone even tried to fit the turbo stay?
heres a couple pics:

im sure the extra support the bracket gives will help things out

turbo + manifold + DP = lots of stress on those bolts

add in the heat and movement of the engine and you get a lot of stress on those studs.

its an extra support bracket

manny, did you try to see the stay would bolt up to your motor? like, are all the bolt holes in the same place as the 3s?

you know, art, when i installed the stuff, i assumed it wouldnt bolt up, so i never tried.
i have one sitting here, so when i fix the studs, imma try to fit it, it looks like it "might" bolt on.
